Pace, Acceleration, Sprint Speed and ratings as of 9 October 2026, from FUT.GG’s FC 27 database: base cards of men’s players at their current clubs (women’s players are listed separately below). Players on the same Pace are ordered by Sprint Speed, then Acceleration, then overall rating. Live updates can change ratings during the season.

What the list tells you:

  • Only 18 men have 94 Pace or more. Places 19 and 20 come out of a group of 19 players on 93, which also includes Vini Jr. (89 OVR), Nico Williams, Alphonso Davies, Yan Diomande and Rafael Leão.
  • The fastest players are rarely the best. Only Mbappé and Nuno Mendes are rated in the high 80s or above. If you want pace and quality, Mbappé (91), Mendes (89), Vini Jr. (89, 93 Pace) and Achraf Hakimi (88, 92 Pace) are the ones to look at.
  • Wide players dominate. The top 20 has five strikers and no central midfielders or centre-backs.
  • Two late-window moves are already in. Bahoya joined Leeds on loan from Eintracht Frankfurt and Diaby returned to Leverkusen from Al Ittihad on 1 September 2026. FUT.GG shows their new clubs, while EA’s ratings site still lists their launch clubs.

How Pace is calculated: it comes from Acceleration and Sprint Speed, with Sprint Speed weighted slightly more. EA doesn’t publish the formula, but every player we checked fits 45% Acceleration and 55% Sprint Speed. That’s why Bahoya (91 / 97) still has 94 Pace.

Base cards by main position, as of 9 October 2026. FUT.GG’s position pages also count alternative positions, so they can look different: Mbappé (LW), Adeyemi (ST, LW, RW) and Frimpong (RM, RW) show up in several lists.

Strikers

Mbappé is the fastest striker and the fastest player, full stop. Behind him, Oliver Burke (95) is the interesting one: he’s 188 cm and Lengthy, so he’s slow over the first yards but very hard to catch on a long run. Sirlord Conteh (95) and Loïs Openda (94) are the other quick strikers. For contrast, Erling Haaland has 87 Pace (81 Acceleration, 92 Sprint Speed): a big Lengthy striker whose top speed is much better than his start.

Wingers

Wingers fill most of the top 20. Adeyemi has the best start of anyone after Mbappé (96 Acceleration), and Bahoya has the best top speed (97 Sprint Speed). Among the stars, Vini Jr. (93), Nico Williams (93) and Rafael Leão (93) are all one point below the 94 group.

Full-backs

Full-backs are the fastest defenders by a distance. Nuno Mendes (94 Pace, 89 OVR) is both the fastest and the best of them. On the right, Rațiu, Tchatchoua and Frimpong all have 94, and Hakimi (88 OVR) combines 95 Sprint Speed with the best rating of the fast full-backs.

Centre-backs

The fastest centre-back is Andriano Lebib of Perth Glory (91), but he’s rated 56. The fast centre-back that matters is Micky van de Ven (Tottenham, 90 Pace, 81 OVR): his 95 Sprint Speed is the highest of any centre-back, shared only with Sturm Graz’s Joshua Quarshie, who has just 63 Acceleration.

Midfielders

Central midfield is where pace drops off. Federico Valverde (Real Madrid, 90 Pace, 87 OVR) is the fastest central midfielder and one of the best-rated players on this page. No CDM has more than 86 Pace.

Fastest women’s players in FC 27

Linda CaicedoReal MadridLW9390 / 9685

Base cards as of 9 October 2026. Three players share the top spot on 94 Pace, so the “fastest women’s player” depends on who’s counting: Sports Illustrated named Chawinga, while FUT.GG’s list puts all three level. Linda Caicedo has the highest women’s Sprint Speed (96). Salma Paralluelo, Ewa Pajor and Alyssa Thompson are next on 93.

Fastest by Acceleration vs Sprint Speed

Acceleration is how quickly a player reaches top speed. Sprint Speed is how fast that top speed is. Pace mixes the two, which hides very different players.

Highest AccelerationAccHighest Sprint SpeedSprint
Kylian Mbappé97Jean-Mattéo Bahoya97
Karim Adeyemi96Kylian Mbappé96
Jérémy Doku95Gabriel Silva96
Jeremie Frimpong95Oliver Burke96

Men’s base cards, 9 October 2026. Another 17 players have 94 Acceleration (including Vini Jr., Nico Williams, Nuno Mendes and Alphonso Davies), and 10 have 95 Sprint Speed (including Adeyemi, Hakimi, Bradley Barcola and van de Ven).

Two examples show why the split matters:

  • Jérémy Doku (Manchester City) has 95 Acceleration but 88 Sprint Speed, so his Pace is “only” 91. He’s lethal over five yards, which is what a dribbler needs.
  • Joshua Quarshie (196 cm) has 95 Sprint Speed but 63 Acceleration. His Pace is 81, yet on paper his top speed over a long recovery run is the same as Adeyemi’s.

How a player uses that speed also depends on AcceleRATE. Mbappé, Adeyemi and Bahoya are Explosive, Mendes and Openda are Controlled, and Burke and van de Ven are Lengthy. The rules are in Lengthy vs Controlled vs Explosive.

Does pace matter in FC 27?

Yes, but EA spent this year’s development cycle taking the edge off the shortcuts around it:

  • AcceleRATE matters less. EA “slightly reduced the impact of AcceleRATE profiles” in its Closed Beta Feedback Update (3 September 2026), which puts “greater emphasis” on the actual Acceleration and Sprint Speed attributes. It also cut some of the advantage Lengthy players had over long distances.
  • Pace PlayStyles were toned down. The FC 27 Gameplay Deep Dive reduced Quick Step’s speed boost during dribbling and accelerating, which EA says “gives more importance to the Acceleration attribute”, and slightly reduced Rapid’s boost to dribbling animations.
  • Defenders keep up better. Manually controlled defenders have faster jockeying than in FC 26, so knocking the ball past a human defender is harder.
  • Triggered runs stop after a limited distance. You have to trigger another run to keep a player going, which hurts the long, unbroken runs in behind.

In Pro Clubs there’s one more: long-term fatigue is partly back in 11v11 since Title Update 1.0.1, so a Pro who sprints everything fades late in matches. More in our FC 27 Pro Clubs new features.

Our take, after many years of Clubs: pace is still the attribute that wins the most one-on-ones out wide, but in FC 27 it pays to have real Acceleration and Sprint Speed numbers rather than relying on a label or a PlayStyle. A fast player with poor control or decisions still loses the ball.

How fast can your Pro be?

Your Pro’s top pace depends on the archetype (just as height does; see the tallest players in FC 27 for the other end of the scale). These are the caps in the community AP data we use (valid as of 9 October 2026):

ArchetypeMax AccelerationMax Sprint Speed
Spark✔ 9995
Finisher, Magician9595
Marauder92 (Pro Clubs HQ: 95)95
Creator, Progressor, Disruptor9292
Target9092
Maestro, Recycler, Boss9090

So only the Spark can reach 99 Acceleration, and no archetype goes past 95 Sprint Speed. Maxing both on the Spark costs about 467 + 297 AP, roughly 764 of your 962 Attribute Points. A maxed Spark out-accelerates Mbappé (97) but can’t match the top speed of Mbappé (96) or Bahoya (97).

Two things add a little on top. Masteries: levelling the Marauder adds Sprint Speed and levelling the Magician adds Acceleration to every archetype you play, though it isn’t confirmed whether that can push past a cap. Amps boost attributes for a few matches but can’t go above your archetype’s cap. More on both in max overall rating and attribute points.

If you want to be the fastest Pro on the pitch:

  • Pick the Spark and stay short enough to be Explosive (182 cm or under, Agility at least 10 above Strength, Acceleration 80+). Our best Spark build shows the full setup, and the Spark+ Specialization (Agility 92, Acceleration 90, Sprint Speed 90) gives you Quick Step+.
  • Check your type in the AcceleRATE calculator before and after every respec, because height, weight and Strength can flip it.
  • At full-back, the Marauder’s Speedster Specialization (Sprint Speed 92, Acceleration 90, Dribbling 90) is one of the cheapest Specializations in the game (about 255–300 AP). See the best Marauder build.
