Pro Clubs tactics board
Pick one of the 29 FC 27 formations, set your build-up style and defensive line, and give every position a role. Tap a player to mark who's human and who's AI, then copy the link or the text into your club's Discord.
How tactics work in Clubs
Roles control the AI, not you. A role and its focus decide how an AI teammate moves with and without the ball. A human Pro goes wherever you take them, so the role on a human slot only matters if that player drops out and the AI takes over. With a full squad, the role that matters most is your AI goalkeeper's. In FC 26, roles also fed the lobby's role fit and the match role rating; EA hasn't said whether that's unchanged in FC 27. Same tactics menu as FC 26. Your club gets five tactic slots, one active at a time, each with a formation, Build-Up Style, Defensive Approach and a role for every position (AI players show Role+ in every role). Each saved tactic has a 12-character share code under its name: paste it into the board above and it travels with your link and the copied text, so teammates can load the exact tactic in game (My Club → Tactics → Enter Tactics → Manage Tactics → Import).
No new roles in FC 27. The list is the same as FC 26, including Ball-Playing Keeper, Wide Back, Inverted Wingback, Box Crasher and the Versatile focus. That's 37 roles across the positions and 85 role and focus combinations.
Defensive approach and line height. The approach follows the line height: Deep 1–30, Balanced 31–60, High 61–90, Aggressive 91–100. EA published these bands in FC 25 and hasn't restated them, but FC 27 setups still fit them. In FC 27 lower lines drop deeper sooner, and Team Press does nothing in your own defensive third (EA, September 2026). For the settings we use, read our best Pro Clubs tactics guide.
Fatigue is back. Long-term fatigue returned to Clubs in Title Update 1.0.1, so stamina-hungry roles like Attacking Wingback cost more over a season than they did at launch, when 3-5-2 with free-running wing-backs was everywhere.
Which formation for your club?
The presets above follow the shapes Pro Clubs HQ found most often at the top of FC 27 Clubs league play, with 4-2-1-3 the most common. Its data also suggests the more humans you have, the more you win, and that human defenders matter more than a human goalkeeper. It's one source, so treat it as a guide.
