Best Finisher Build in EA FC 27 Pro Clubs

The best FC 27 Pro Clubs Finisher build: height and weight, AcceleRATE, Specializations (Finisher+, Hunter, Presser), PlayStyles, AP priorities, top-100 data.

EA FC 27Updated 8 Oct 20268 min read

The Finisher is the Alex Morgan archetype: a clinical goalscorer who lives in the box and punishes every half-chance. In EA FC 27 its Signature PlayStyle is Low Driven Shot, it plays ST, and it’s the most popular archetype in the game’s best clubs by a distance.

This guide covers the best FC 27 Finisher build: height and weight, AcceleRATE, which Specialization to unlock, PlayStyles, and where your 962 Attribute Points should go.

What the Finisher is, and when to pick something else

The Finisher has the best Scoring ceiling of any archetype and can take nine attributes to 99 (Finishing, Att. Positioning, Shot Power, Volleys, Penalties, FK Accuracy, Agility, Reactions and Composure). Agility, Sprint Speed and Dribbling are also cheap on it, so you can be quick without starving your shooting.

Pick something else when your role isn’t “score goals”:

  • Target if you’re building a tall striker for a team that crosses a lot. See our Target build.
  • Magician or Spark for a wide forward or a second striker who creates. See the Magician build and Spark build.
  • Maestro or Creator at CAM. See the CAM build.

For a side-by-side of both striker archetypes, read our best striker build. For every position, see the best archetypes.

What changed for the Finisher in FC 27

  • One Signature PlayStyle. In FC 26 the Finisher had two (Low Driven Shot and First Touch). In FC 27 it’s Low Driven Shot only, which upgrades to Low Driven Shot+ as you level, so First Touch now costs you a regular slot.
  • Low driven shots lost their speed boost. EA’s Gameplay Deep Dive says the PlayStyle no longer adds shot speed: velocity “now scales purely based on core shooting Attributes”, while the accuracy boost stays. Shot Power and Finishing matter more than before.
  • EA is watching the near post. On 30 September EA said low driven shots, “particularly towards the near post, can be stronger than other options”. Nothing has changed yet, but a tweak is possible. We track it in our patch notes.
  • Long-term fatigue is back in 11v11 (Title Update 1.0.1), which makes Stamina and the Presser Specialization more interesting.
  • Max level 40, 962 AP, free respecs. Every archetype is unlocked and resets cost nothing.
  • Masteries. Reaching level 10 with the Finisher gives +1 Finishing and +1 Composure to every archetype you play (EA’s own example).

Low Driven Shot+Quick StepRapidFirst Touch

The Finisher+ Poacher is the build most outlets recommend (Dexerto and RealSport101 both run Low Driven Shot+ with Quick Step and Rapid). Composure, Ball Control and Reactions help every finish, so the 343 AP is never wasted.

The Hunter Inside Forward copies the most-copied Finisher template on Pro Clubs HQ, an Mbappé build with Finishing 99, Curve 92 and Att. Positioning 90, which is exactly the Hunter unlock. It suits players who like to curl it from the edge of the box, and Dexerto also lists a Finisher on the wing.

The Presser Front-Runner is the cheapest Specialization. Agility 90 keeps you Explosive and sharp on the turn, and with long-term fatigue back, Stamina 92 means you’re still sprinting in the 85th minute.

Best height and weight for the Finisher in FC 27

The Finisher can be 164–190 cm (5’5”–6’3”) and 70–90 kg (154–198 lbs). Its default body is 177 cm and 80 kg, which starts Controlled. Taller adds Jumping, Sprint Speed and Strength; shorter and lighter add Acceleration, Agility and Balance.

RecommendedWhy
Height5′8″–5′11″ (173–180 cm)Explosive is possible up to 182 cm
Weight70–73 kg (154–161 lbs)Lighter = more Acceleration and Agility
AcceleRATEExplosiveFaster burst when you spin off the last defender
Skill Moves4 ★Enough for the box; 5★ is optional
Weak Foot5 ★Chances fall on both feet

Why not 6’0”? Six foot is 183 cm, one centimeter over the Explosive limit. RealSport101 suggests 5’10”–6’0”; we’d stay at the lower end. The top 100 clubs go even shorter: their Finishers have a median height of 173 cm (see the data section below), while the most-built body in the community data is 177 cm and 70 kg.

Finisher Specializations: Finisher+, Hunter or Presser?

Each Specialization unlocks automatically when you reach its three targets.

SpecializationPlayStyle+UnlockAP from baseBest for
Finisher+Chip Shot+Composure 92 · Ball Control 90 · Reactions 90~343Most strikers (default pick)
HunterGamechanger+Curve 92 · Att. Positioning 90 · Finishing 90~378Finesse finishers, inside forwards
PresserRelentless+Stamina 92 · Agility 90 · Aggression 90~332Pressing from the front

Finisher+ is our default: three stats every striker wants, and Chip Shot+ (“more quickly with exceptional accuracy”, per EA) is a fun swap against keepers who rush out. Hunter costs the most, mainly because Finishing is the Finisher’s most expensive attribute, but you were going to buy Finishing anyway. Gamechanger+ only boosts Fancy and Trivela shots, so keep Low Driven Shot+ equipped. Presser is the cheapest. Relentless+ “greatly reduces the long-term fatigue effects”, which matters again since TU 1.0.1, but swapping out Low Driven Shot+ is a big price for a striker. To compare them with every other archetype’s options, see all Pro Clubs Specializations.

Attribute caps and AP costs

You have 962 AP at level 40. On the Finisher, Finishing alone costs about 467 AP to max, and the last four points (95 to 99) cost about 170 of that. Finisher+ plus a 99 Finishing is roughly 810 AP before you’ve touched pace or your weak foot, so most builds stop Finishing in the mid-90s.

Att. Positioning99~273✔ High
Composure99~374✔ 92 for Finisher+
Reactions99~294✔ 90 for Finisher+

Weak Foot 3★ → 5★5 ★~85✔ Get 5★

Spend order for the Finisher+ Poacher:

  1. Acceleration 80 and a little Agility so you’re Explosive from the start.
  2. Finisher+ targets: Composure 92, Ball Control 90, Reactions 90 (about 343 AP).
  3. Finishing to 90 (about 177 AP from base), then Att. Positioning.
  4. Weak foot to 5★ and Sprint Speed (cheap).
  5. Finishing and Shot Power with what’s left.

PlayStyles for the Finisher

At level 40 you have the signature slot plus three regular slots. Unlock requirements below come from community data (Pro Clubs HQ).

  • Low Driven Shot+ (signature): extra accuracy and quicker execution on low, hard finishes. Your Shot Power now decides how fast it travels.
  • Quick Step (Acceleration 75, Sprint Speed 80, Stamina 80): faster acceleration during Explosive Sprint. EA reduced its boost in FC 27, so raw Acceleration matters more.
  • Rapid (Acceleration 75, Sprint Speed 80, Dribbling 80): higher sprint speed while dribbling.
  • First Touch (Composure 80, Ball Control 75): cleaner traps, so you get the shot off sooner.
  • Finesse Shot (Vision 80, Finishing 75, Curve 80): swap it in for Rapid on the Hunter build. EA made it scale more with your attributes in FC 27.

The Finisher in the top 100 clubs

We analyzed EA’s public Clubs data for the top 100 clubs’ last 10 league matches (967 matches, 8 October 2026). The Finisher dominates:

StatFinisherContext
Share of all players16%Most used archetype in the game
Clubs using one81 of 100144 of 257 forwards (56%)
Match rating7.79Highest of all 13 archetypes
Goals per game1.14Highest of all archetypes
Assists per game0.56Shots per game: 2.3
Median height173 cm (5′8″)Middle 50%: 168–182 cm

Two things stand out. First, top clubs build their Finishers short: half are 173 cm or under, and three in four are 182 cm or under, the Explosive limit. Second, they pass well for strikers (82% pass accuracy), so link-up play matters as much as finishing. The full breakdown is on our Pro Clubs meta page.

Tips for playing the Finisher

  1. 01
Stay on the last defender’s shoulder. Your Att. Positioning only helps if you are in the right place. Hold your run until the passer looks up.
  2. 02
Shoot low and early. Low Driven Shot+ rewards quick, low finishes. You don’t need a perfect angle, you need the shot away before the block.
  3. 03
Don’t drop into midfield. Your AXP depends on your role rating. Leave the build-up to your Maestro or Creator and stay high.
  4. 04
Get the 5★ weak foot. About 85 AP from 3★. It saves you a touch on every chance that falls to the wrong foot.
  5. 05
Level to 10 even if you main something else. The +1 Finishing and +1 Composure Mastery applies to every archetype you play.
  6. 06
Use the free respecs. Test 173 cm against 180 cm, or Finisher+ against Hunter, for a few matches each before you settle.

FAQ

What is the best height for a Finisher in FC 27?

5’8”–5’11” (173–180 cm) at 70–73 kg. That keeps you under the 182 cm Explosive limit. The median Finisher in the top 100 clubs is 173 cm.

What is the Finisher’s Signature PlayStyle in FC 27?

Low Driven Shot, which upgrades to Low Driven Shot+ as you level. First Touch was a second signature in FC 26 but isn’t in FC 27, so most builds add it as a regular PlayStyle.

Which Finisher Specialization is best?

Finisher+ (Composure 92, Ball Control 90, Reactions 90, about 343 AP) for most strikers. Hunter suits finesse finishers and costs about 378 AP; Presser is the cheapest at about 332 AP. In all three cases most players keep Low Driven Shot+ equipped.

Is the Finisher better than the Target?

For most players, yes. It has the higher Scoring ceiling, a stronger signature and cheap pace. In the top 100 clubs Finishers outnumber Targets about seven to one and score more per game (1.14 vs 0.83). Pick the Target only for a tall striker in a crossing team.

Can the Finisher play on the wing?

Yes. Dexerto lists a Finisher winger build, and the Hunter build above works as an inside forward. For a pure winger, the Magician or Spark gives you better dribbling.

Final verdict

The Finisher is the default striker in FC 27, and the top-100 data backs it up: most used, best match rating, most goals. Keep it short and light so it’s Explosive, unlock Finisher+ for the stats, keep Low Driven Shot+ equipped, and push Finishing into the mid-90s.
