Title Update 1.0.4 (7 October 2026)
All platforms. EA: “There are no gameplay balance and tuning changes in this update.”
The Grounds
- Fixed a loading screen that needed a game restart when viewing your active club from the Player Profile.
- Fixed instances of incorrect post-match UI flow.
The rest of the update covers Ultimate Team (Service Unavailable errors after matches) and Career Mode fixes.
The Grounds Developer Launch Update (2 October 2026)
This isn’t a title update. It’s EA’s first status report from the Clubs and Grounds team.
Fixed (deployed)
- High ping in some cross-region Clubs matches.
- 5-star skill moves not working in small-sided matches.
Being investigated
- Incorrect Archetype Point costs for certain upgrades.
- 1v1 goalkeepers behaving erratically.
Fix being tested
- 11v11 Drop-In preferred position not being applied correctly.
- Teleport access to the Stadium and Clubhouse portals.
- Can’t open the world map while queued.
- The Map input opening the Season Pass.
Being explored: a Winner Stays / Win Streaks mode on Grounds pitches, plus fixes for Kickabouts that won’t fill (letting players flag a pitch that needs players, connecting players across servers, and scheduled Kickabout events). EA is also working on slow Grounds menus. On fatigue, EA says it reintroduced long-term fatigue in 1.0.1 and “will be watching closely”. A Grounds and Clubs Q&A on the official FC Discord is planned, date to be announced.
Title Update 1.0.3 (2 October 2026)
No gameplay balance or tuning changes.
The Grounds
- “Improved matchmaking reliability in The Grounds.”
- Fixed some 5-star skill moves not being usable in certain modes.
- Fixed players getting stuck on a wall in the Goal Control Kickabout.
Gameplay Developer Launch Update (30 September 2026)
No changes. EA says it will be “very measured” with core gameplay changes this year, after players asked for time to learn the game before it gets patched. Topics EA is watching, which applies to Clubs too:
- Fullbacks dropping too early and breaking the defensive line, the most-reported issue.
- Goals straight from kick-off.
- Passing vs interceptions, especially players with low defensive stats making interceptions that only top defenders should make.
- Low driven shots to the near post.
EA is investigating referees giving the wrong outcome after some challenges.
Title Update 1.0.2 (29 September 2026)
One fix: some countries were missing from the FC Pro Open registration list. No Clubs changes.
Launch Developer Update (25 September 2026)
EA’s launch-day post on the EA Forums confirmed that TU 1.0.1 addressed “the infinite Stamina issue players were facing in Clubs”, and said the team is hearing feedback on Kickabout queue times and Winner Stays / Win Streaks.
Title Update 1.0.1 (23 September 2026)
Released on all platforms just before worldwide launch. EA said it would not significantly change gameplay balance, to preserve the Early Access tuning.
Gameplay
- “In The Grounds 11v11 matches, increased the impact of fatigue on long-term player stamina.” This is the change that ended unlimited stamina in Clubs. Before it, the sprint meter simply refilled. EA’s reasoning was that infinite stamina favoured clubs with more human players over smaller clubs.
- Fixed custom controller presets not performing the intended inputs.
- Raised the default jockey speed sliders, in Authentic Gameplay only (Career Mode and Kick Off). Doesn’t affect Clubs.
The Grounds
- Fixed Hot Join sometimes not letting players join a match.
- Fixed unexpectedly high ping in League matches.
- Fixed 5-star skill moves not working in Street Football even when the avatar had them unlocked.
Closed Beta Feedback Update (3 September 2026)
EA’s changes between the closed beta and launch. EA said The Grounds and Clubs were in the beta and it was “continuing to review” feedback on them, but not all of it would be addressed by launch. The gameplay changes that matter most in 11v11:
- Triggered runs stop after a limited distance, so you have to call another run.
- AcceleRATE profiles have slightly less impact on running, and the women’s Lengthy height rose to 172 cm. See Lengthy vs Controlled vs Explosive.
- Shoulder challenges work best side-by-side, repeated shoulder inputs cost the defender speed, and Bruiser+ was slightly reduced.
- Team Press has no effect while the ball is in your defensive third, and lower depth settings keep the back line deeper.
- Player Lock: when you’re locked away from the ball, an AI ball carrier no longer dribbles around defenders automatically. It keeps going in its current direction and makes slightly more passing errors. In Clubs you’re always locked to your Pro, so expect AI teammates on the ball to be less slippery.
- Dinked passes are fully manual: double-tap Through Pass and aim yourself.
- Corners: players no longer move automatically to where the ball will land.
Known issues still open (8 October 2026)
From EA’s official FC Tracker, Clubs and Grounds issues still marked Investigating after TU 1.0.4:
| Issue | Since | Workaround |
|---|---|---|
| Infinite loading when declining the cross-play prompt while joining a Clubs lobby | 25 Sep | Turn crossplay on before joining |
| Party stuck while queuing (party leader left during a Rush queue) | 17 Sep | Walk into the Clubhouse, or restart |
| Match timer can rewind after rejoining a Clubs League match | 25 Sep | None |
| Some attributes need more AP to upgrade than intended | 21 Sep | None |
| Referee kit colours too close to team kits (Clubs) | 25 Sep | High Contrast / Gameplay in Accessibility Settings |
| Stuck on the Season Pass screen when claiming rewards | 17 Sep | Wait for the reward to display fully |
| “Hit 50 Street Targets” weekly objective not tracking | 17 Sep | None |
| Certain boots missing from Matchday Inventories | 6 Oct | None |
| Players moved out of position, custom tactics may not save | 2 Oct | None |
If something breaks for everyone at once, it’s more likely an outage than one of these bugs, so check the Pro Clubs server status first.
