A good name gets your club noticed; a good kit makes it look like a real team. In EA FC 27, customization is split in two: the club (kits, crest, AI teammates) is set up from the My Club menu, and your Pro’s look now comes in two versions, one for walking around The Grounds and one for matchday. This guide shows where each option lives, what you can earn for free, what costs Coins or FC Points, and a few kit combinations we like.
Where to customize everything in FC 27
Since Clubs moved into The Grounds, the options are spread across a few menus. This is where we found each one:
| What you want to change | Where | Status |
|---|---|---|
| AI teammates’ face, gear and animations | My Club → Customize → AI Player → select the player → Head, Gear or Animation | ✔ Checked in game |
| Rename an AI teammate | My Club → Customize → AI Player → select the player → Info | ✔ Checked in game |
| Club kits and crest | My Club → Customize | ◑ Launch-week video guides; tab names not checked by us |
| Your Pro’s face, hair, kit and boots | Edit Appearance | ◑ EA Help names the tab, not the full path |
| Buy clothing, hairstyles and emotes | A World Store (Terrace, Montclair, Parkside, Zeiza) | ✔ EA Help |
| Buy Amps and consumables | Club Store → Amps or Consumables, or the Store tab on the World Map | ✔ Checked in game |
You can open My Club from the pause menu (Options on PlayStation, Menu on Xbox) as well as from the Clubhouse. If you haven’t created a club yet, our how to play Pro Clubs guide walks through it, and our list of funny Pro Clubs club names helps if you’re stuck on what to call it.
Club kits, crest and stadium
Club kits
Your club’s kits are set from the Customize section of My Club. Several launch-week video guides show the kit and crest options there, but EA hasn’t published a list of designs or colors for FC 27 Clubs, so we can’t tell you exactly how many there are.
What we can say:
- You can earn special Club Kits. EA lists Club Kits among the rewards for Season 1’s European Nights event, alongside UEFA Champions League player-themed Amps and emotes. Event rewards like these are earned by playing. Our guide to Club Tournaments and House Rules explains how those events work.
- Watch for referee clashes. EA’s own tracker lists an open issue (25 September) where referees can wear colors too similar to some team kits in Clubs. EA’s workaround is to turn on High Contrast / Gameplay in the Accessibility Settings. Players on EA’s forums also report kit clashes in 11v11 Drop-In, where both teams get similar colors; EA hasn’t listed that one as a known issue.
Club crest
The crest is changed in the same Customize menu. Launch-week tutorials show both picking a different crest and building your own, but again EA hasn’t documented the options. Your crest also shows up in the world: Red Bull’s FC 27 guide notes that the team badge appears on the Clubhouse in The Grounds.
Your Clubs stadium
EA’s Grounds Deep Dive says the Clubs Stadium and the Clubhouse entrance update based on your club’s customization and identity. That’s the only official detail so far: EA hasn’t said which stadiums, themes or tifos a club can pick in FC 27. We’ll add the options here once we’ve gone through the menu ourselves. Your club’s fans and reputation are a separate system, covered in our guide to Club Objectives and fans.
Your Pro’s look: face, hair, kit and boots
FC 27 gives your Pro two looks. EA says you can customize your street and stadium looks separately, and EA Help puts it this way: your Street Appearance decides how you look while exploring and playing in The Grounds, and it’s separate from your Clubs Appearance, although some items can be used in both. You edit both through Edit Appearance.
Street Appearance items (EA Help’s list):
- Tops, Bottoms, Hats and Gloves
- Hairstyles and Facial Hair
- Facial Accessories, Tattoos and Arm Sleeves
- Archetype Card Backgrounds
- Emotes
Authentic Kits are real club kits you can wear as a top in The Grounds. They sit with your Tops under Street Appearance, you can’t change their fit or sleeve style, and the shirt number comes from the number you set in the Edit Appearance tab.
Boots are part of your matchday gear. EA’s tracker calls that your Matchday Inventory, and it lists an open issue (6 October) where certain boots are missing from players’ Matchday Inventories. If a pair you had disappears, that’s a known bug, not something you did. Players on EA’s forums also complain that Clubs offers fewer boots than Player Career, so don’t expect the full catalog.
Need a name to go with the look? Our funny Pro Clubs player names has hundreds, and celebrations covers goal celebrations and the emotes you can put on your Emote Wheel.
Can you get blue or green hair in FC 27?
We couldn’t confirm it. Years ago we wrote about getting blue or green hair in FIFA 17 by importing a FIFA 16 Pro. That trick is long gone. In FC 27, Hairstyles and Facial Hair are Street Appearance items that you buy in the World Stores or earn as rewards, but EA hasn’t published the list of hairstyles or hair colors, and no FC 27 source we found mentions blue or green hair. We’ll update this answer once we’ve checked the hair options in game.
What’s free and what’s paid
Cosmetics in FC 27 are earned by playing, bought with Grounds Coins (also earned by playing) or bought with FC Points (real money). Here’s where each kind of item comes from:
| Source | What you get | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Season Pass, free track | Outfits, accessories, emotes, Amps, Consumables, Coins | ✔ Free: earn Season Points by playing and doing Objectives |
| Premium Pass | Extra rewards, including exclusive cosmetics and The Grounds Consumables | ◑ FC Points (or UT Coins and tokens via the FC Hub) |
| Objectives | Cosmetic items such as Tops, plus AXP, Consumables and Coins | ✔ Free |
| Live Events | Event rewards, e.g. Club Kits and emotes in European Nights | ✔ Free |
| World Stores | Clothing, hairstyles, Authentic Kits, emotes, bundles | ◑ Grounds Coins or FC Points |
| Featured Bundles | Cosmetics, sometimes with Amps or Consumables | ◑ Coins or FC Points; limited time |
| Pre-order bonus | Signature Sweatsuit, a Tier 3 Mbappé Amp, 2 Double AXP consumables | ◑ Came with FC 27 pre-orders |
| Club Store / Clubhouse Store | Amps and Consumables only | ✘ No clothing or cosmetics |
A few rules from EA Help that are worth knowing before you spend:
- You can only buy vanity items in the World Stores. The Store tab on the World Map and the Clubhouse Store sell Amps and Consumables, but not clothing. The Grounds Store on the Terrace has the full range, and the district stores have smaller, rotating selections.
- Stock rotates. Each item shows its price, currency, purchase limit and when it leaves the Store.
- Everything is permanent and yours. Appearance items stay in your inventory, and nothing can be traded or sold.
- Season Pass rewards go to your inventory. Claim them in the FC Hub under Season.
EA hasn’t published the Premium Pass price for FC 27, and the price of each Store item varies, so check the item before you buy. If you’re weighing up FC Points for gameplay items too, our guide to Amps and consumables covers prices and whether they’re pay-to-win.
Customizing your AI teammates
If your club doesn’t have eleven humans, the AI fills the gaps, and FC 27 lets you make them look like part of the team. We checked these paths in game (October 2026):
- Open My Club → Customize → AI Player.
- Pick the AI player you want to change.
- Use Head for the face, Gear, Animation, and Info to rename them.
How much you can change inside those tabs is another matter. A widely shared thread on EA’s forums (September 2026) reports that each AI slot now offers only one face and one hairstyle, with a randomize option instead of a free choice, and other players say they can no longer pick their AI teammates’ hairstyles. EA hasn’t responded to it publicly. Renaming works, so the names are the part you fully control.
A full AI squad named after your club’s in-jokes is a Pro Clubs tradition. Our player names list has plenty of ideas. If you want them to play better rather than just look better, that’s down to tactics and Player Roles.
Best-looking kit combos for your club
- 01Two colors, one of them dark. Navy and gold, black and lime, bottle green and white, claret and sky blue. Dark shirts with a bright trim read well on any pitch and on a small screen.
- 02Make the away kit the opposite. If home is dark, make away light, with the same trim color. You’ll clash less, and the club still looks like the same club.
- 03Avoid referee colors. All-black, plain yellow and fluorescent shirts can blend with the officials. If it happens, switch to the away kit or turn on High Contrast / Gameplay.
- 04Avoid pitch green as the main color. A solid green kit is hard to pick out at speed. Use green as a trim, or pair it with white like the classic hoops.
- 05Give the goalkeeper a color no outfield kit uses. Orange, pink or gray keeps the keeper easy to spot for the whole team.
- 06Match the crest to the kit. Reuse the two kit colors in the crest. Clubs with a matching crest and shirt look organized before a ball is kicked.
- 07Coordinate the squad’s boots. Matching boot colors across your human players is a small touch that makes a club look like a real side.
Running a league? Kit rules are worth writing down: a fixed home color per club, and away kits for the second-named team, saves a lot of arguing. Our guide to running a Pro Clubs league covers the rest of the rulebook.
FAQ
How do you change your club kit in FC 27 Pro Clubs?
Open My Club (from the pause menu or the Clubhouse) and go to Customize. That’s where the kit and crest options are, along with your AI players. You may need to be the club manager or an admin to change them.
How do you change your Pro’s appearance in FC 27?
Through Edit Appearance. FC 27 has a Street Appearance for The Grounds and a separate Clubs (matchday) look, so you can wear streetwear around the world and your club kit and boots on matchday. New clothes and hairstyles come from the World Stores, Objectives and the Season Pass.
Can you get blue or green hair in FC 27 Pro Clubs?
Not that we could confirm. Hairstyles are Street Appearance items in FC 27, but EA hasn’t listed the hair colors and no source we found mentions blue or green hair. The old FIFA 16 import trick no longer works.
Do you have to pay for customization in FC 27?
No. You earn cosmetics from Objectives, Live Events and the free Season Pass track, and you can buy items with Grounds Coins earned by playing. FC Points and the Premium Pass are optional, and cosmetics never change your stats.
Can you change your AI teammates’ faces in FC 27?
Partly. Go to My Club → Customize → AI Player and pick the player: Head is the face, and there are Gear, Animation and Info (rename) tabs too. Players report that FC 27 offers fewer face and hairstyle choices per AI player than earlier games, with a randomize option, but renaming works.
